Did you know that the phrase “grace and peace” is in the first chapter of every one of Paul’s 13 epistles? It’s not a coincidence by any means.

God is dispensing His grace and peace to a sinful world every single day. Every hour He withholds His return is another hour He withholds His judgment: it is an opportunity to save more people freely by His grace (2Th 1:8-9, 2Pe 3:15).

How does He save sinners you may ask? Through His Body preaching the cross (1Co 1:17-24). This requires some action on our part.

If you have been saved by trusting in Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection to forgive you of your sins without works (1Co 15:1-4, Rom 3:21-16, Eph 2:8-9), then you have been given a heavenly vocation to preach this gospel of God’s grace and peace to a fallen world (Eph 4:1-4, 2Co 5:18-21).

It’s not just the responsibility of your pastor or for those that are “good speakers.”

As members of His Body, we are at peace with God and stand in God’s grace by faith (Rom 5:1-2). Not only so, but we are ALL called to tell others of this grace and peace that anyone can experience by faith in the gospel.

While it does take boldness to care more about God’s will than your own (that you can pray for and receive, Eph 6:19-20), I’d encourage you to not only understand and experience the incredible grace and peace that there is in Christ alone but to help others see it too! It’s not magic, it just takes faithfulness to what God has called us to do.
